Symbolic significance of pine and cypress
Pine and cypress are widely distributed in southern North China and East China, and are often used as ornamental trees. Since ancient times, Chinese people have had special feelings for pine trees, and they are known as "three friends of old and cold" of pine, bamboo and plum.
"Asserting that Qingshan does not relax, the roots are broken. Many people have learned this poem in primary school, praising the unyielding character of pine and cypress and symbolizing the poet's own foresight.
Throughout the ages, I don't know how many people with lofty ideals and literati praised pine and cypress, its solemnity and pride, its cold tolerance and evergreen seasons.
