From 1920 to 1930, Greek poetry tended to be decadent and lacked originality, especially after takis committed suicide. Severus' poetic language is simple and simple, which brings new forms of expression and new images. 1932 published the collection of poems "Pool". 1935 published a collection of poems, Myth and History, and began to use free verse. This collection of poems contains 24 poems, or 24 sections, and records ancient myths and past history. This is his mature work.
During World War II, he went into exile with the government in Egypt, South Africa and Italy. 1940, he published a collection of poems, The Log of Sailing, and a workbook, including scattered poems that were unpublished in 10.
