What are the romantic characteristics of Qu Yuan?

Qu Yuan is a great poet of positive romanticism. His long political lyric poem Li Sao laid a fine tradition of positive romanticism in China's classical poetry, which is called Qu Sao tradition.

The romanticism in Lisao is manifested in the unremitting pursuit of progressive ideals in content, and in the art, it is manifested in the use of rich mythological materials, the formation of a peculiar plot and realm through free fantasy, and the use and development of folk songs to symbolize his struggle with the dark forces of Chu as a struggle of truth, goodness, beauty, falsehood and ugliness. Chu Ci is a romantic poetry collection with Qu Yuan's works as the main body. Following the Ci of Chu, the torch of positive romanticism lit by Qu Yuan has been passed down from generation to generation, forming another literary trend of thought which is different from the traditional "wind" poetry.
