Modern Poetry Describing Spring and Its Appreciation

drizzle

Zhu ziqing

Dongfeng plum,

Sweep across my face,

The drizzle of stars,

This is the fluff of spring.

Selected from "Trace"

Zhu Ziqing (1898- 1948) was born in Yangzhou, Jiangsu. He is famous for his prose creation in modern literary world, and his poetry creation has a distinct realistic style. Representative works include the poetry collection Trace and the long poem Destruction. Drizzle is a beautiful poem that Zhu Ziqing tried to create in 1923. A poem is a thin layer of smoke on the roof. The poem uses "star" to describe the light rain, and then uses "fluff" to directly tell people's vision, feeling and touch, which not only concretizes "star", but also further strengthens the image of spring rain. This little poem depicts a spring breeze and drizzle full of business in a concise and suggestive way, showing a fresh and light artistic conception and truly expressing the poet's joy at the coming of spring.
