Boyan’s life experience

Meng He Boyan is a Daur writer and literary critic. After the liberation of Zhangjiakou City in 1945, he participated in the revolution and soon joined the Communist Party of China. He has served as acting secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Inner Mongolia Federation of Literary and Art Circles and vice chairman of the Inner Mongolia Branch of the Chinese Writers Association. At first, he wrote lyrics and scripts. Later, due to work needs, he mainly wrote literary reviews and theoretical articles. Not only did he write a lot, but the quality was also high. The literary reviews and theoretical articles he wrote played a certain role in inspiring and promoting the prosperity and development of Inner Mongolia literature at that time.

After 1958, while he continued to write literary criticism and theoretical articles, he also published "The Story of an Old Willow Tree", "Old Man Kalqin", "Young Labor Pioneers", "Running Torrents", "Wuni" "Er Ji" and other novels, and wrote prose such as "Women Commando", "A Journey of Ten Thousand Miles", "Poems Dedicated to Wealth Creators", "Green Mountains Are Ever Green", and also wrote "Ah, Motherland", "The Solemn Constitution", etc. poetry. In 1959, the film literary script "Gada Merlin" was published.

In 1961, he published a collection of literary criticism "Thriving Literature of Inner Mongolia". He was persecuted during the Cultural Revolution. After the new era, in addition to continuing to write literary reviews (in 1987, when celebrating the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Inner Mongolia People's Publishing House published the "Collection of Meng and Boyan Literary Reviews"), he also published many unique novels, such as: "Broom Plum", "Northern Maple", "Milk, White Milk", "The Ferry by the River", "Veterinary Bodhi", "Landlord Village", "The Mistaken Bole", "Red Dawn", etc. These works of his not only occupy an important position in the history of contemporary Daur literature and the history of contemporary literature of ethnic minorities, but also occupy a certain position in the history of contemporary Chinese literature.
