I remember when I was in school, I hated copying texts because I didn’t like writing. But although I didn’t like writing, I really liked drawing. Drawing is one of the literary and artistic hobbies. I remember being a fan who drew Sakura's Cardcaptor Magic Cards in a picture book when I was little. This also laid a solid foundation for me to study fine arts in college.
Besides painting, I also like carving rubber stamps and making hairpins, both of which are handmade. Many people call rubber stamp engraving and hairpin making "pits", because once you enter this "pit", it is difficult to get out, because rubber stamp engraving and hairpin making are so interesting. Before getting involved in rubber stamps, I watched a lot of related videos and thought these masters were very handsome when carving rubber with knives, and the carved works were very beautiful. But after I really started practicing, I found that it was too difficult to carve beautiful rubber stamps. Fortunately, after many years of practice, the seals I carved now have changed from unsightly to barely usable.
Making hairpins is also something that seems easy but difficult to do. You may not know that making hairpins also requires design talent. Without design talent, it is difficult to make good-looking hairpins. I remember seeing someone online who paired red and green beads on a golden hairpin, and also added pearl tassels. It's really ugly. There is no distinction between high and low hobbies. Even playing games can be called a hobby, but it must be done in moderation.
