Ge Cuilin was born in February 1930 in Qiangezhuang Village, Leting County, Hebei Province, and is a native of Hebei. Graduated from the Sociology Department of Yenching University. From 1949 to now, he has published many literary works. He is now the vice chairman and secretary-general of the Bing Xin Award Jury and a children's literature writer.
