Jinshan Town is named after the ancient people dug holes and searched for gold in Yingpanshan area outside the town. During the Yuanfeng period of the Song Dynasty (AD 178), Jinshan set up a town.
Jinshan Township was established in p>1952, and Jinshan Township, Ma Chi Township and Tanjiaba Township were separated in 1953. In 1986, Jinshan Town was merged with the three townships, and Jinshan Town and Dajing Town were merged again to form a new Jinshan Town in 26.
In p>28, Deyang City and Luojiang County decided to set up Luojiang Economic Development Zone in Jinshan Town, Yuying Town and Wan 'an Town in order to develop Luojiang regional economy. Among them, Jinshan Industrial Park is the key development area of Luojiang Economic Development Zone, which was upgraded to a provincial development zone in 212.
