Introduction to Xiaoya Gufeng

"Xiaoya·Gu Feng" is a poem written by an unknown person in the pre-Qin period. It is selected from "The Book of Songs·Xiaoya·Gu Feng Zhi Shi". The poem has three chapters, each chapter has six sentences. The language of the poem is sad and euphemistic. It only narrates the facts before and after the abandonment. There are no words of condemnation and curses, but the meaning of blame has been fully revealed. The so-called "resentment but not anger" shows that the protagonist is a character. A kind and cowardly working woman. This also reflects that thousands of years ago, women were in a humiliating situation of being oppressed and had no independent personality and status. The predecessors commented on this poem and said: "The truth of Taoism is clear, and the simplicity of the situation is wonderful. The last two sentences tell the root cause of the disease, which is the core of the poem." (Chen Zizhan's "The Book of Songs Direct Interpretation" quotes Sun Yan's words).
