If someone says that reading poetry has many benefits, it is a lie. Besides enriching your life, it's useless.
However, in your life, there are always many moments when you will think of the poem you read as a child.
1. The resonance of one thousand years
When I was four or five years old, my mother taught me to recite Tang poems. I feel no pain. Poetry rhymes, similar to children's songs: "every grain is hard" and "going up the mountain to shoot a tiger", and I can't tell the difference. Just playing with my back.
Slowly, I grew up.
In spring, when I saw the peach blossom in full bloom, I suddenly understood what "the peach blossom flew away and burned its flowers".
In winter, the west wind blows hard and the sky is gloomy. Pedestrians rushed to run. When they went home to keep warm, it snowed heavily outside. Know what is "the feeling of snow outside at dusk" and what is "a quiet stove with red commotion"
In summer, my parents and I went to the lake to play. The boat crossed the lotus leaf and learned what "the lotus leaf is infinitely beautiful" and what "the water is bright and beautiful".
In autumn, the sky is high and the clouds are light, and the leaves are yellow at the beginning of the cool breeze. I know what an old tree is autumn and what a beautiful thing is beautiful.
When dating, know what is "the head of a willow on the moon";
On the Lantern Festival, I learned what a "one-night fish and dragon dance" is.
When you are worried, "just lean on the dangerous building";
Happy when "spring breeze is proud of horseshoe disease"
When I was young, I "lie down and watch the cowherd and the weaver girl";
When you are big, "the golden wind and the jade dew meet."
Those poems memorized, like incomprehensible pictures, exist in my heart.
One day, I met some scenery, some mood,
I suddenly understood that poem, that sentence, that painting.
That kind of feeling is a thousand years of empathy, which is too apt to be described in other languages.
If you don't know poetry, it's because you don't live a wonderful life.
Maybe you still don't quite understand the meaning of poetry, but I believe that one day, there will be a kind of scenery and a kind of mood that will make you feel that only that ancient poem can describe it.
You will always know what "spring breeze is a horseshoe disease, and you can see all the Chang 'an flowers in one day", and you will finally understand what "the stars slant down from the clearing and the moon runs up from the river" and what "our capital is full of nosy people, and you are lonely, helpless and poor".
On that day, you will find that you didn't understand those poems before because you didn't have the experience and feelings of a poet.
Since ancient times, although the pace of people's life is getting faster and faster, the pursuit of ideals, yearning for hometown and expectation for beauty have always been the same, and our spiritual bond with the ancients has not been broken.
3. When souls are connected, poetry is our messenger.
When people grow up, they will encounter more grand scenes and read more profound and revised poems. (To be continued)
