On whether tithing is necessary in the New Testament

Answer: The prerequisite for giving is willingness and there is no set rule.

Exodus 25:2 Tell the Israelites to bring me a gift, and you may accept it for me from anyone who is willing.

1Timothy 6:18 And charge them to do good, to be rich in good works, to give alms willingly, to be willing to give to others (to provide or to show consideration)

Phylemiah 1:14 But I don’t know you I do not want to do this, so that your good deeds do not come out of compulsion but out of willingness.

1 Peter 5:2 Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, overseeing them according to the will of God. Not out of compulsion, but out of willingness. It is not because of greed for money, but out of willingness.
