She was once a campus poet and was assigned to work in Guangzhou after graduating from graduate school. She began writing novels in 2002. Because of my poetry writing, I enrolled in the Chinese Department, and then studied for a master's degree. As she said: "Guangzhou, a city where reality destroys fantasy and desire destroys poetry, is indeed no longer suitable for the growth of poetry. I turned to writing novels to treasure the lyricism and unfold the narrative. In this way, I hope my dreams will Feed yourself a little fatter in writing."
At the age of 14, she published a collection of pure lyric poems called "Girl's Longing". After that, she found a relatively large and tolerant writing form, the novel, to store her passion. Life feels like existential pain even. Since her first novella "Passing by Spring" was published in "Flower City" in 2001, Huang Yongmei has successively published novels in magazines such as "Zhongshan", "Harvest", and "Tianya". In 2003, she published a short story in "Tianya" The novel "The Wind of Duobao Road" was reprinted by "Selected Novels" and "Novel Monthly" in 2004. Huang Yongmei is good at writing short and medium stories. Her novels "Minus One Floor" and "Odd and Even" have been on the "China Novel Society Annual Novel Ranking" for two consecutive years.
After her first poem "Moon Mother", Huang Yongmei published her first collection of poems "Girl's Longing" when she was 14 years old. When she was 17 years old, she published her first collection of poems "Looking for the Blue Bird". At that time, many major newspapers and magazines had columns for her. These "remarkable achievements" made Huang Yongmei a famous "girl writer" and "campus poet". Huang Yongmei said: "I like poetry, poetry is the crystallization of dreams."
Writing poetry is related to her father's wish. Although Huang Yongmei's father was a history major, he loved poetry and made many poet friends during his college years. For as long as they can remember, the three Huang Yongmei siblings have been taught by their father to recite Tang and Song poems, and they often compete in poetry recitation competitions. "Anyway, my father keeps asking us to memorize poems in different ways." Of course, I actually started writing poetry during the summer vacation when I was 10 years old. According to her recollection, her father would assign a writing topic to them every day at that time. One day, the topic was "Moon Mother". "At that time, I felt that writing a composition was too difficult. There were so many words, so I wanted to be lazy, so I wrote poetry." Unexpectedly, my father was very satisfied with this poem and recommended it to the supplement of "Wuzhou Daily". "As a result, it was published soon." From then on, Huang Yongmei embarked on the path of writing poetry. Before going to college, she was already a "great poet" who published two collections of poems.
