I can't remember how many times I visited the mountains with Guangyue. Home visits with her to find those children who need help, for others and for themselves.
In a blink of an eye, I have known Guangdong for almost ten years. We are like mother and daughter, more like sisters. Mother and daughter are similar because of experience and wisdom, and sisters are similar because of age and distance.
The first time I saw Guangyue was in my sophomore year. The monitor told me to go, and I looked blank. I only heard from my classmates that a sister from Shanghai came to see us and invited us to have dinner together. On that day, the campus at night was particularly warm and full of expectations.
During the conversation, I saw a face full of kindness and compassion, fashionable and elegant. Shy, I didn't take the initiative to say hello, nor did I greet or hug warmly like other students. I am like a pillar, standing there quietly, looking at everything in front of me as an outsider. Suddenly, my name appeared in the crowd in standard Mandarin. It was the first time that Guangyue called me, sweet and kind. I never thought that this beautiful city girl would have an indissoluble bond with me.
At first, I knew nothing about her except her beautiful appearance. Dare not ask, also didn't ask. I only know that she knows everything about my family like the back of her hand, even more clearly than I do. At dinner, Guangyue chatted with me about the trajectory of my life and let me choose. At that time, I was at a loss. After that dinner, I received hundreds of dollars of living expenses from her every month until I graduated from high school.
Teacher Feng, who organized our meeting, said a lot of encouraging words to me, telling me to put down my baggage and go into battle lightly. Because, I have a sister and a relative since then.
To my surprise, Guangyue can accurately call out the names of each of our students every time we meet later. She hasn't worn the family information of hundreds of people. At that time, I was wondering if my grades would be better if I had such a good memory.
Later, I was admitted to the university. After she told me about it, she gave me a tablet computer. This computer accompanied me through the university, accompanied me to many places, wrote many stories and recorded many joys and sorrows.
During a holiday in my junior year, Guang Yue invited me to visit Guangxi. She took a little boy who had an operation in Shanghai. The little boy was abandoned by an orphanage. He has been adopted by a foreign family and will have his own new home soon after the operation. Although the little boy has a prosthetic leg, he is still alive and kicking and runs as fast as the wind. Watching Guangyue feed him and change his diaper like a mother, I was filled with emotion. We were very sad when we handed over the little boy, because it was probably farewell. We have imagined many kinds of life for the little boy after he went abroad, and we are glad that he can find adoptive parents.
At that time, we visited several orphanages and welfare homes, and there were all kinds of children in each place. Some of them are eager to grow up, but they will never grow up. Some want to walk normally, but they have no strength to stand up.
I admire Guang Yue's kindness and courage, selflessness and wisdom. Also because of what I have seen and heard, I cherish everything in front of me.
During this visit, we met a family of five whose father had brain cancer. Three daughters, elder sister with cerebral palsy and third sister with epilepsy. The only normal second sister went to junior high school, and all the burdens fell on her mother's shoulders. Knowing the situation, everyone was crying except the elder sister with cerebral palsy who was laughing. The disease overwhelmed the family that could have been happy. With the arrival of the bright moon, they saw hope and regained their courage in life.
There are as many stories as there are people in this world. Some people are held in their hands at birth, while others are struggling in poverty at birth. However, no matter what the world is like, there are always some people who are trying to love, regardless of race or national boundaries, hoping for less suffering and more happiness. Every time I think of her goodness, a beam of light will pass in my heart.
After the university came to teach, Guangyue had a special feeling for Tongjiang, a red land. Helping children in mountainous areas is more than 10 years. During this period, Guangyue often gave up her rest time and went to the mountains to dig up those children tortured by poverty and give them spiritual and economic support. If nothing else, I just hope they can grow up healthily and safely.
If there is a causal theory in the world, I hope that those goodwill can bless Guangyue's life. Fortunately, I met her, shining light.
