Born from a rural background, he has a primary school education but is obsessed with writing. He has been writing for nearly 50 years and has written more than 2,000 paragraphs of popular "jingle". He has won many awards for his outstanding contributions in promoting policies that benefit the people. Provincial and municipal leaders have praised and won numerous honors; an old man in his seventies has used his own unique way to experience social changes and record the development of the times. In this issue of the "Looking for Good People Around You" series of reports from the Cangzhou Station of the Great Wall Network, we get closer to Ding Qinghe, the simple "peasant poet" in the hearts of villagers.
Hobby and persistence have made the "peasant poet"
Ding Qinghe, 68, is a farmer in Dingzhuangzi Village, Mengcun Hui Autonomous County, Cangzhou City, but he has many friends. He is different from ordinary farmers who turn their backs on the loess. He has loved reading since he was a child, and is almost obsessed with it. He can't let go of the book even when he is working. Due to family poverty, Ding Qinghe dropped out of primary school before finishing primary school, but he was reluctant to put down his books and pen. He worked in the fields during the day and read and wrote under the dim kerosene lamp at night. Once he encounters a word he doesn't understand, he will immediately look it up in the dictionary and write it down. Over the decades, he lost count of how many dictionaries he had torn through.
Ding Qinghe has been writing "jingles" since he was twelve or thirteen years old. Due to his young age and little experience, his creation in those years was more like a hobby for "self-entertainment", but he took this hobby to the extreme. Even when writing letters for others, he would use a "jingle": "You go I've been away from home for three and a half months. Now I'll tell you about my family affairs. The sheep are laying lambs and the hens are laying eggs. The woman is very good-looking. It's okay to miss work. Saving money is the key. Let’s go home and prepare for the wedding. Don’t worry about your parents. Work hard and remember to eat more.”
In his twenties, Ding Qinghe gradually started to write jingles. "career" path. As long as he has time, he will read books, read newspapers, listen to the radio, watch TV, compile some policy information, wealth information, etc. that the people need into "rhymes" and tell them to everyone; go out to do errands or go shopping. In the city, when he encounters something new, he will also compile it into a "rhyme" to make it fresh for everyone.
Over time, Ding Qinghe, who "comes out with words at the drop of a hat", has become a well-known "Jingle King" in everyone's eyes. People who have heard his "jingle" can't help but give a thumbs up and praise him.
Praise the truth, goodness and beauty without forgetting to criticize the false, evil and ugliness
Among the more than 2,000 "rhymes" created by Ding Qinghe, there are many good ones praising the truth, the good and the beautiful. He also specially wrote a poem for Mengcun's More than 200 moral role models each created a piece. Ding Qinghe said that rather than creating for moral models, it is better to say that he is experiencing spiritual baptism like a spring breeze.
Female entrepreneur Pan Shulan has been enthusiastic about public welfare for decades. Ding Qinghe praised her: "The old woman is happy with the reform year, and the business sea is sailing. When she gets rich, she concentrates on doing charity, and her virtues in her old age are passed down to the neighbors." Donate to the villagers. Hematopoietic stem cell electricians Ding Mingduo and Ding Qinghe wrote: "An ordinary electrician is as virtuous as a peak. Donate stem cells and save a life." For Liu Yuyan, who has been filial to her elders and loved her relatives for many years, he praised: "I have to bear the burden of serving the elderly. , The heart of raising an orphan is broken. A person is virtuous and spiritual, and setting an example is enough taste!”
Like many poets, Ding Qinghe enthusiastically praises truth, goodness and beauty, but also uses a critical eye and popular and frank language. Express personal attitude towards fakeness, evil and ugliness.
Once when I was on the street, I saw a young man who was disheveled, bare-chested and backless. He spoke rudely on the phone and was full of obscenities. As a kind reminder, Ding Qinghe said, young man, let me give you a few words: "There is a slit in your pants and two holes in them. You are shirtless and talking on the phone, and your mouth is unclean." Unexpectedly, a few words actually turned the other party around. He said with a blushing face and left in embarrassment.
