Songgai Ancient Town is a national AAA tourist attraction in Chongqing, located in Songgai Town in the south of Yongchuan District, Chongqing, with Zhuyang Town in jiangjin district in the east, Zhuyangxi Railway Station on the Yangtze River in the south, facing shima town, jiangjin district across the river, Zhutuo Town in the west and Hegeng Town in the north.
There are seven wonders in Songshui ancient town, namely, "Yipin ancient town, Shili old street, century-old situation, Millennium context and Wanli Yangtze River".
The ancient town is characterized by "three cleanings and seven wonders", which means a quiet environment, clean slate roads and fresh river wind. The "Seven Wonders" are the buildings, ancestral halls and temples in the Ming and Qing Dynasties (represented by Luojia Ancestral Hall and Chenjia Ancestral Hall), the 5-kilometer-long winding stone road on the Yangtze River, the tomb of Confucius, the ancient fairy cliff, Chen Gongyan and Wenzhongba (the largest middle dam in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River).
Known as "Nine Palaces and Eighteen Temples", it can be called "Ancestral Hall Museum", including Wenchang Palace (also known as Kongjia Ancestral Hall), Zhangjia Ancestral Hall, Jia Fan Ancestral Hall, Luojia Ancestral Hall, Youjia Ancestral Hall and Chenjia Ancestral Hall.
