Song poetry was developed on the basis of Tang poetry. Song poetry is another peak after Tang poetry, which establishes a set of aesthetic norms different from Tang poetry, but at the same time draws lessons from Tang poetry and shows the characteristics of Song dynasty. The Song people inherited and developed the spirit of the Tang people, and finally "the two peaks coexist and go hand in hand with each other" with the Tang poetry. Have a great influence on future generations.
2, the difference:
1) Song poetry has made new explorations and creations in ideological content and artistic expression. Compared with Tang poetry, Song poetry has expanded in reflecting the sufferings of people's livelihood, exposing social darkness and expressing political struggles within the ruling class.
2) Under the historical background of extremely sharp and violent ethnic contradictions, the patriotic spirit expressed in Song poetry is more fervent and profound than that in Tang poetry, which has become the keynote of Song poetry;
3) Tang poetry sends feelings to the scenery, and Song poetry sends feelings to reason. On the basis of learning from their ancestors, the Song people found a new way and found that what the Tang people did was not enough. As far as content is concerned, Song poetry is broader than Tang poetry. People in the Song Dynasty wrote poems that the Tang people thought could not or should not be included in poetry. For example, Su Shi and Huang Tingjian wrote many poems about ink, paper, inkstone, tea, painting fans and diet.
4) As far as techniques are concerned, Song poetry is more elaborate than Tang poetry. Mainly in art, it shows the tendency of discussion, prose and taking learning as poetry, which is good or bad for the development of poetry art in later generations;
5) The number of the whole Song poetry is amazing, exceeding that of the whole Tang poetry.
