Is it worthwhile for singer Wei Zifu and emperor Liu Che to meet and fall in love?

Liu Che's wife Wei Zifu, the wife of Emperor Gaozu, was called a virtuous princess by later generations. Wei Zifu was born in poverty, and his mother was Hou Pingyang's servant. After Wei Zifu was born, he was sent to Pingyang Houfu to practice singing and dancing and became a singer in Pingyang Houfu.

In the second year of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, Emperor Wu went out to worship his ancestors as usual. On the way back, I went to Pingyang Houfu and took a nap. Princess Pingyang chose a dozen beautiful young girls to gather in the palace, hoping to present them to the emperor and please him. However, when a dozen girls lined up in front of Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty, Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty did not seem satisfied. Later, at a banquet, Princess Pingyang called a famous prostitute in the house to sing. Emperor Wu took a fancy to Wei Zifu. On the same day, I had the first chance to meet Wei Zifu in Pingyang House and brought Wei Zifu into the palace.

After entering the palace, Wei Zifu began a long wait, and the emperor never summoned her again. In the second year after Emperor Wu entered the palace, he released the useless imperial secretary from the palace. It was this opportunity that made Wei Zifu see the emperor again. Wei Zifu cried and begged the emperor to let himself go home. When Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty saw this, his heart was full of love, and he was happy for Wei Zifu. Soon after, Wei Zifu was pregnant with the first child of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty. Emperor Wu was very happy and fell in love with Wei Zifu.

Later, Wei Zifu gave birth to two daughters for Liang Wudi, and Liang Wudi's love for Wei Zifu became more and more profound. In the first year of Yuanshuo, Wei Zifu gave birth to the eldest son of the emperor, and Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, who was nearly thirty years old, finally had his first son. Since then, Wei Zifu has replaced Chen as the new queen, and Liu Ju, the eldest son of the emperor, has been made a prince.

However, everything will be reversed. In the middle and late period of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, "witchcraft" prevailed in the palace and cursed others through crooked ways to achieve their own goals. Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty was old and often fell ill. The young people in the palace slandered the emperor's illness, which was caused by the curse of the prince's witchcraft. Later, they framed the prince in an attempt to rebel, and Liu Yuxi was forced to commit suicide. Wei Zifu also committed suicide because he couldn't clean himself up. Since then, a generation of sages have withdrawn from the historical stage.

Liu Che Wei Zifu

Liu Che has brought extraordinary life to Wei Zifu, but I prefer Duan Hong and his son-in-law. Although there is no relationship between them in history, they may be strangers, or they may just be gifts from the monarch and his subjects. No matter fate or artificial matchmaking, my son-in-law finally won the favor of Liu Che. A singer in cloth flew to a branch and became a phoenix. She became a noble queen, which indirectly changed the fate of the family. Although the ending was not happy, Wei Zifu also committed suicide. Since ancient times, emperors have been fickle, which makes sense; I never accepted why ancient women allowed their husbands to have three wives and four concubines, and took it for granted. Because of the feudal thought at that time, I can only understand. However, it seems that her ending is not happy. Imagine if she could die at a young age, at least in her mind, she still has a legendary and happy life. She used to be a happy woman, loved by thousands of people.

After Wei Zifu entered middle age, she moved to Mrs Zhao. In his later years, Liu Che was moody and suspicious. It was also at that time that the magic case in the Grand Palace killed countless people, all of whom died innocently. What is even more distressing is that after Wei Zifu committed suicide, he didn't even have a decent tombstone, no serial number and no temple sacrifice.

Looking back on Wei Zifu's life, knowing and loving the value of Liu Che, the Emperor of the Han Dynasty, contains too much, including love, romance, happiness, ups and downs. As bystanders, we have no right to comment more, but the story of Liu Che, the Emperor of the Han Dynasty, and Wei Zifu, a folk singer, makes people sigh for a long time.
