The Pioneer of Changji Style Poetry

Li He is the pioneer of Changji style poetry.

Poems with a permanent style, also known as "a constant feeling style", is a new poetic style founded by Wang Zhihuan, a famous poet in the Tang Dynasty. Its establishment not only enriched the poetic forms in the history of China's poetry, but also provided a new vivid form of thought and artistic expression for later literary creation.

Wang Zhihuan was born in the early Tang Dynasty, originally from Yingchuan (now Yuzhou City, Henan Province). He devoted himself to literary creation in his early years and was one of the famous poets in the early Tang Dynasty. During his literary career, he created many excellent works such as "Climbing Yueyang Tower" and "Two Poems in Liangzhou", and created unique poetry creation methods in them.

The creation of Changji style poetry is the product of Wang Zhihuan's bold practice in literary creation. Chang Ji's poems adopt the metrical pattern of alternating flat and flat lines, with 14 words and one line, mainly seven-character quatrains, which are extremely flexible in dealing with flat and flat lines and follow the basic laws of alternating flat and flat lines and cadence. The language of the work is concise and lively, with profound emotions, showing a strong personality style and people-oriented thinking.

On the one hand, the appearance of Changji-style poems enriches the forms of poems and songs in the Tang Dynasty, on the other hand, it also expresses the new changes in the literary creation thought in the Tang Dynasty, that is, paying attention to the display of individuality and human feelings. This is a great miracle in the history of China literature.

Changji-style poetry provides a new way of thinking and mode for later literary creation. During the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, the creative influence of Changji style poems continued to develop. For example, Wang Shifu's Romance of the West Chamber in the Yuan Dynasty and Qian Zhongshu's Fortress Besieged in the Ming Dynasty all have the use of long auspicious poems.

In a word, Changji style poetry is a peak of Wang Zhihuan's literary innovation and an important chapter in China's literary history.

Li He (790-8 16), a famous poet in the Tang Dynasty, was born in Fuchang, Henan (now Yiyang, Henan) and was called "Shi Gui".

There is little information about Li He in the official history. There is a biography of Li He in New Tang Book. His life can be found in Li Shangyin's Biography of Li He and Du Mu's preface to Li Changji Collection at Shen's request, as well as some notes in the Tang Dynasty, such as Zhang Gu's Advocating Leisure and Peng Dayi's Examination Hall.

Li He's poems are rich in imagination and artistic conception, and he often uses some strange words. There are more than 20 words "death" and more than 50 words "old" in his works, which are very different from other poets in the Tang Dynasty.
