Who is the bachelor of the Northern Song Dynasty who is arrogant and has been demoted for three times without repentance, and even Ouyang Xiu is amazed?

Wang Yucheng was one of the poets who tried to get rid of this decadent style in the early Song Dynasty.

Wang Yucheng has a seven-tone "Village Trip": "When a horse crosses a path, chrysanthemums begin to turn yellow, and it is believed that a horse is better than a wild one. Listen to the sound of thousands of valleys at night and watch some peaks silent in the sunset. The leaves of huanghuali are as red as rouge, and the fragrance of buckwheat flowers is as white as snow. Why are you so melancholy? The original tree of the village bridge is like my hometown! " His poems are simple, plain, simple and elegant, fresh and natural, deeply influenced by Bai Juyi, and brought a new wind to the poetry circle in the early Song Dynasty. So Ouyang Xiu sighed at him: "I always miss the style of the public, but I don't care about my articles."

Wang Yucheng became famous early, and it is said that he had poems at the age of nine. Bi, who was working in Jeju, Wang Yucheng's hometown at that time, was amazed at his name and his poems, so he left Wang Yucheng with him and took the children to study together. Once, Bi arranged for the children to have a dialogue and said, "Parrots can compete with each other in words." Children scratching their heads can't compare. Wang Yucheng shouted at him, "Spiders are not as clever as silkworms." . This sentence is neat, clever and profound in metaphor. When Bi Shayang heard this, he couldn't help sighing: "You are knowledgeable and skilled, and you will soon be famous all over the world." Give high praise and expectations.

Wang Yucheng lived up to Bi's expectations. When he was in his twenties, he passed the Jinshi exam and successfully entered the official career. As a result, the poet became an official and was assigned to work locally. Later, Song Taizong heard the name of his poem and personally asked for a test. Wang Yucheng "wrote poems". After reading it, Song Taizong said happily, "Within a month, you will be famous all over the world!" Immediately reuse it as Zuo Si's advice and knowledge. With the title of the poem and the favor of the emperor, it is said that the future is bright. But the problem is precisely that this official, praised by the audience and prized by the emperor, cherishes feathers, doesn't know how to get along with them, and has a kind of poet's pride.

It is precisely because of such a personality incompatible with officialdom that Wang Yucheng was demoted three times.

The first time was in the second year of Chunhua (99 1), a nun in Luzhou sued Xu Xuan for adultery with her sister-in-law. After the trial, Daoan was falsely accused and should have been punished, but Song Taizong pardoned her through a letter. In order to avenge Xu Xuan, Wang Yucheng argued and insisted on punishing Daoan. Song Taizong was very angry and agreed to demote him to Shangzhou Yingyong.

The second time was in the first year of Daoguang (995), and Wang Yucheng was recalled as a bachelor of Hanlin. In April of that year, the late Queen Song Taizu died, and Song Taizong refused to serve the emperor's wife, nor did he hold a funeral according to the etiquette system at that time. Wang Yucheng wrote a letter criticizing, and Song Taizong was furious and exiled him to Chuzhou for libel.

The third time was after Song Zhenzong ascended the throne. The imperial edict of transferring Wang Yucheng back to Ren appointed him to compile Mao Shi Lu, but he didn't know what to do. He was too direct when he should use "to compare", which exposed Song Taizu's "privacy". As a result, he was denounced and demoted to Huangzhou.

After three condemnations, Wang Yucheng did not think of repentance, but was complacent. He wrote an essay "San Fu" to clarify his ambition. There is a saying: "bow to your body and never leave." Why lose? " I should maintain integrity and respect justice, and I will do so all my life. "The pride of his poet can be seen.

Affectionate and easy to hurt, even just easy to fold. Wang Yucheng is in officialdom, but he is not tainted with the ugliness of officialdom. He goes with the flow and talks nonsense. He is honest, courageous and resourceful, good at talking and daring to speak out. The emperor and his colleagues don't like him. He was lonely and depressed, and died suddenly at the age of 47 shortly after being demoted to Huangzhou. In the History of Song Dynasty, Yuan commented on him: "Writing for the sake of writing involves many rules and satires, which are quite unacceptable to the vulgar, so they are often rejected." It can be said that the analysis is very accurate. A poet like him who doesn't understand the official advice and refuses to bow his head and raise his eyebrows is intolerable in the old officialdom.
