Under the Tiger Mountain in Putian, there is a road leading to the sea, which merchants who sell (goods) must pass through. In the spring of the fourth year, a villager put on tiger skin, forged sharp iron as his pawn, and practiced the tiger's jumping action, especially like that.
I came out to hide in the bushes and sent explorers to climb trees to watch. If someone carries a bag, they will howl as a signal. Jump out like a tiger, choke him (passerby) by the throat, kill him, and some stab his skin into a bite.
Open his bag, choose the best things in it, and the rest are still sealed as before, making people look suspicious. People compete to spread rumors that there are tigers in the tiger mountain, and they don't eat people or suck human blood, and they spread it to the gods.
Later (one day), a farmer went out occasionally and his wife stayed in the cave. Hearing the howling in the tree, I was very anxious, thinking that there must be valuable goods, so I put on tiger skin to beat passers-by. Women are thin and weak, and businessmen can resist her.
The woman got scared and ran away. (Businessman) saw (a little) the soles of her feet. (It turned out to be a person. Go back and make a good plan with your neighbor and chase her and make a hullabaloo about. Came to the cave and seized countless gold and silver brocade silks. Min escaped after all. Alas! Is there more than one villager disguised as a tiger in the world?

The original text of "Man and Tiger":
There is a road leading to the sea at the foot of Hushan Mountain in Putian, and vendors are allowed to do so. In the late spring, the people wear tiger skin and forge iron as their minions, learning to jump, which is unique. It went out of the jungle, which made the investigators look at the edge of the tree. If there is a negative bag, the whistle will be believed and the tiger will jump out and kill it. Or the meat is gnawing; Those who crack the capsules and take out the best things will keep the secret as it is and show people's suspicion.
It is said that there are tigers at the foot of the pot mountain that don't eat people and suck people's blood as gods. Nowadays, people go out occasionally, and their women guard the caves. I heard the noise on the wood, there must be heavy goods, so I went to fight. Women are fragile and sellers are resistant. Women are afraid and run away. See its metatarsal, people also. Begging neighbors, making trouble one by one. When I got to the cave, it was nothing to get gold and silk, but people actually ran away. Oh! Everyone in the world is a tiger, and the people are not alone!
