Farewell to the Cowherd Star is a literati poem that originated in the Han Dynasty. It belongs to the genre of five-character poems and is the tenth of nineteen ancient poems. With the help of the images in the fairy tales of the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl, this paper describes the tragedy that the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl can't meet each other because of the barrier of the Milky Way, and expresses the feelings of women's parting and the sadness that human couples can't get together.
