In the whole self-defense counterattack against Vietnam, the most tragic battle was the battle of lang son, which was called "meat grinder" from now on. In this last battle against Vietnam, due to the despicable behavior of the enemy, General Xu even angrily ordered: "When attacking at dawn, lang son can't leave a room."
As the saying goes, "A distant relative is better than a close neighbor." But Vietnam, as a close neighbor of our country, is not so good. On the contrary, it is more like a bloodsucking leech, attached to our country for its own interests, but doing things that endanger our national security. Why do you say that about Vietnam?
You know, when New China was founded, China was poor, everything was in ruins, and people were still starving. However, in order to support the socialist regime of North Vietnam against the French invaders, they tightened their belts, assisted North Vietnam with a large number of guns and hundreds of artillery pieces, and even sent professional military personnel to give military guidance to their troops. It can be said that they have tried their best to help North Vietnam.
Not only that, but later the United States tried to invade Vietnam, and China also generously provided Vietnam with a large amount of military supplies, which helped Vietnam defeat the powerful American army and finally Vietnam succeeded in becoming independent.

Therefore, lang son has been a battleground for military strategists since ancient times, and there is even a saying that "the king surrendered under lang son", which also doomed lang son's World War I to be bloody pieces.

The Third Division was the main force in Vietnam's Anti-American War, and its regiment was awarded the titles of "Heroes Corps" and "People's Armed Heroes".
Maybe they were carried away by their achievements in the battle with the American army. The third division is arrogant and doesn't take our army seriously. In the end, I was severely taught by the 55 th Division, and I was beaten out of the water. You know, the guerrilla tactics used by the Vietnamese army against our army were taught to them when China aided Vietnam, but it is really a lesson to teach others how to use them against our army.
At that time, the Vietnamese army covered the whole of lang son with minefields and fortifications, but our army did not know the terrain of lang son. Coupled with fog and rain, we can't see clearly. China's intensive attack formations often mistakenly hit the barrage of Vietnamese troops, causing great casualties.
However, our army was not defeated by the current predicament, and finally successfully cleared the defensive points around Langer after fierce fighting. Unexpectedly, the desperate Vietnamese army violated international conventions, used chemical weapons and released a large amount of poisonous gas to our army, which caused heavy losses to our army and forced us to withdraw from lang son to maintain its strength.
General Xu was furious at this despicable means. After our army withdrew from lang son, General Xu immediately ordered all artillery units to get ready, and hundreds of cannons were eyeing lang son. Not only that, but he also said that after the shelling, the houses on lang son would be gone, and the Vietnamese army must be made to pay for their meanness.
So, under the command of General Xu, hundreds of cannons attacked lang son in turn. According to statistics, tens of thousands of shells were fired in about 30 minutes. Lang son instantly turned into a sea of fire, and the guns were deafening. The Vietnamese army suffered heavy casualties in an instant, gore, and died in flames.
Later, many Vietnamese veterans who experienced the Battle of lang son were reluctant to recall the shocking "artillery rain". The gunfire was unforgettable, and they were suddenly awakened in their dreams. Under the bombardment of gunfire and rain for half an hour, Langer didn't even have a place to stay, and there were scorched earth ruins everywhere. It was this fire that completely destroyed the morale of the Vietnamese army. Our army was on a roll all the way, and the whole territory of lang son was quickly occupied by our army.
Lang son suffered heavy casualties in World War I, and Ruan Shaoxiong, head of the 32nd1Division of the Vietnamese Army, was unfortunately hit in the left eye by a stray bullet during the war, and he was never able to regain his former spirits. Later, he wrote in his memoirs with great sadness: "Our glorious 2 19 group has 1450 people, and only 72 people are left!"
After this war, Vietnam was powerless to resist and dared not gloat again. After all, after lang son was arrested, many senior officials in Hanoi fled with their families. It can be said that as long as our army is willing, it can go all the way down to Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam.
However, China has been subjected to foreign aggression since the last century. China people have always been flesh and blood, and they never want to impose their sufferings on others.
