1. Introduction: The three poets with unique styles in China's modernist poetry creation in 1930s were He Qifang, Li Guangtian and Bian. 1936, they published the book Hanyuan Collection, which included He Qifang's Collection, Li Guangtian Collection, and Edge Lines Collection, hence the name.
2. Features: They pay attention to convey their unique temperament with poetry. He Qifang mainly shows young people's vague ideals and faint sadness. Li Guangtian's poems are simple in style and profound in meaning. Bian is good at expressing emotion and philosophy in silence, and has made a useful exploration of objectification and depersonalization of modern poetry with clever language. Judging from the overall classification of poetry schools, the three poets of Hanyuan all belong to China modernist poetry group.
3. Creative background: He Qifang, Bian and Li Guangtian were classmates of Peking University College of Literature at that time, and friends from the literary world got together. Appreciate each other, like-minded, and often get together to learn poetry. 1934, Zheng Zhenduo compiled a series of books created by the Literature Research Association and asked Bian for a collection of poems. Bian compiled all the poems of He Qifang and Li Guangtian up to that time.
4. Content: In Hanyuan Collection, the first part is He Qifang's Jenny von westphalen Collection, with sixteen songs in total. Judging from the title, it seems that there is a meaning of painstakingly building a poetry nest. However, we can clearly smell Xue Daoheng's dark cobwebs and empty beams falling into the mud, which is very important, because he hinted at He Qifang's aesthetic interest, that is, his obsession and persistence in the brilliant style of the prosperous Tang Dynasty.
