Mottled years have been buried in the heart of an anti-Japanese veteran for more than half a century. A few years ago, with reverence and nostalgia for the anti-fascist war, Zhang, an 80-year-old man, returned to Dacaiyuan Village (roughly located in the northwest of Linyi City) where he once fought. When we met 90-year-old Zhang, he was walking home slowly from the streets of Toucun, Sand King, carrying Maza on his back.
