Xia, a native of Hengshan County, Hunan Province, was born in Zigui, Hubei Province in August of the lunar calendar 1900. 192 1 winter, Xia joined the China * * * production party. After joining the Party, Xia and others engaged in the workers' movement in Changsha according to the instructions of Hunan Provincial Committee, and participated in leading and organizing the strike struggle of rickshaw workers in Changsha. From 65438 to 0924, Xia served as a member of Hunan Provincial Party Committee and minister of farmers, and trained a large number of backbones and activists for Hunan farmers' movement. At the beginning of 1928, Xia was transferred to work in Hubei by the Party and served as the Standing Committee of Hubei Provincial Party Committee to cooperate with Guo Liang, the new secretary of Hubei Provincial Party Committee. Xia was arrested in Wuhan on March 6+08 of the same year because of the traitor's betrayal. On March 20th, at the execution ground, when the enemy executioner asked Xia what he had to say, he said loudly, "Yes, bring me a pen and paper!" " At the last moment of his life, Xia proudly wrote this poem that is righteous and stern.
