How many stages are there in the development of Tang poetry?

1, Early Tang Dynasty: In 6 18 AD, Li Yuan established the Tang Dynasty, and the period from the reign of Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty was classified as the Early Tang Dynasty. It experienced the rule of Zhenguan, the autocracy of Wu Zetian, the turmoil of Zhongzong and Zong Rui.

2. Prosperous Tang Dynasty: From the autocracy of Wu Zetian, the turmoil of Zhongzong and Zong Rui to the Anshi Rebellion. Poetry in this stage has rich themes and different styles. Some praise nature, some yearn for frontier fortress, some praise heroism, and some sigh helplessly.

3. Middle Tang Dynasty: 762-872 AD. There used to be some poets who opposed extortion of money, militaristic wars and attacks on powerful people.

4. Late Tang Dynasty: From 827 to 906 AD, the poems in this stage mostly reflected the ups and downs experienced in the official career, and the poems often showed a sad mood.
