Tangshan Earthquake is a historical novel written by Guan Renshan and Wang Jiahui. The story takes the Tangshan earthquake as the historical background, and through the life scenes of seismological bureau, hospital, army, residents and municipal government before, during and after the earthquake, it reproduces the kind and simple humanity and indomitable Tangshan spirit of Tangshan people, as well as their expectations for a better life in the future.
Guan Renshan and Wang Jiahui both personally experienced the Tangshan earthquake more than 30 years ago, and then both embarked on the road of literary creation, and they were in their prime of life, so they were able to profoundly express the Tangshan earthquake in the form of literature.
Brief introduction of the author
Guan Renshan, a native of Fengnan District, Tangshan City, was the former chairman of Hebei Writers Association. His literary masterpieces include the novels Dragon Boat Festival, Bitter Snow, Paradise Land, Returning Home in September and so on. He won the provincial Renaissance Award for three times and the Five One Project Award for spiritual civilization construction for three times. Wang Jiahui published his literary works on 1977, including TV series Emotion, 30 episodes of TV series Cao Xueqin, and literary prose series A Dream of Red Mansions.
Wang Jiahui, male, born in Fengrun District, Tangshan City, is a famous writer and expert in redology. Since 1993, he has been engaged in the study of A Dream of Red Mansions and Cao Xueqin, and published many papers in Wen Yi Newspaper, one of the main representatives of Cao Xueqin's ancestral home in Xinfengrun.
