What is lyric poetry?
As a kind of poetry, it directly expresses the author's thoughts and feelings, exposes the poet's inner world and indirectly reflects social life. Lyrics do not pursue the description of characters and plots, but pay attention to the expression of personal feelings. Even though there are some descriptions of life phenomena and natural scenery in the poem, the poet still expresses his feelings and emotions by expressing his will or borrowing scenery. For example, the poet Zhang Ji's "a night-mooring near maple bridge" in the Tang Dynasty says: "The river wind is worried about sleep on a cold night. Hanshan Temple outside Gusu City, passenger ships are ringing at midnight. " It uses highly refined language to describe all kinds of scenery that the author saw, heard and felt in the autumn night in the water town. Whether it is moonlight, crows crowing, fishing fires or bells, it all conveys the poet's strong travel feelings. The scene of staying overnight is a portrayal of the poet's mood, which seems to echo with the melodious bell in this quiet night. It is this unique feeling and experience that makes this poem a masterpiece. A large number of lyric poems, ancient and modern, Chinese and foreign, express their feelings through various means and touch people's hearts.
