In Chinese class, I raised my hands high and competed to read the text aloud; at home, I often recited poetry loudly... I love reciting so much, but you know, reading was my favorite thing before. What a headache. What aroused my interest in reading? This originated from a recitation competition.
The class held a recitation in the first grade of junior high school, and each group sent representatives to participate in the competition. The spot in our group naturally fell to me. It was difficult to refuse the "kindness" of my classmates, so I had to find materials to prepare.
The game has begun. Heroes from all walks of life showed their talents. Some brought us into Xu Zhimo's "Farewell Cambridge" in the melodious sound of the violin, some read Lu Yan's "Listening to the Tide" with great emotion, and some played "Haiyan" in "Symphony of Destiny" 》...The mood of the students also changed from relaxed and happy to sad and sentimental.
Finally it was my turn to play. The classmates in the group gave me encouraging looks. "Fish Beauty. I know how the purple bamboo grows under the moon tonight. The growth is my irreparable sadness. My tears are dripping in your dream. Can you feel it?" I said with a gentle and slow voice. The voice begins to tell the story of the mermaid. From when she met the prince to when she chased the ship and laughed, from when she saved the prince who fell into the sea to when she bravely swallowed the medicine given to her by the witch to grow legs.
I found that I had never been so emotional, as if I was the little mermaid: "If your blood splashes on my heart, I will have another three hundred years to wait for another beginning. This, What's the point, that dagger stained with your blood will tear my heart apart." I only felt tears welling up in my eyes and slowly sliding down my cheeks. The audience was completely captivated by what happened to the little mermaid. The noisy boys listened with their cheeks in their hands, and several sentimental girls had tears in their eyes.
"Farewell, the sun has shone on me; Farewell, the dream floating on the sea; Farewell, my lover!" My slightly sad but happy tone echoed in the silent classroom , a few seconds later, warm applause sounded in every corner of the classroom, lasting...
I won the first place in that competition and took home a hard-cover copy and a small prize. It's not important. What's important is that this Chinese language activity inspired my interest in recitation.
Thanks for the Chinese language activities. I really hope that such activities can be held more often so that every student will have a strong interest in Chinese learning!
