When the stars shine poetically, please plant this collection of poems.

"Humans live poetically on the earth." What a beautiful artistic conception this is. However, in this increasingly hurried and materialistic era, how long has it been since you read poetry? How long has it been since you smelled the fragrance of the earth? How long has it been since you looked up at the vastness of the stars?

Now, there is a wonderful collection of poems telling you: plant books in the ground, and then flowers and vegetables will sprout-from the pages. The title of the book is very direct, and it is called "Please Plant this Collection of Poetry", which comes from the American poet Richard Gary Brautigan. A few days ago, the centralized translation of this collection of poems was published in China, which completely followed the connotation of the original, reproduced the form and design concept of the collection of poems, and was still free according to the author's requirements. Before that, any of Brautigan's works had never been officially published in China, although many China poets had long been fascinated by his works.

Such fresh and vivid poems, with the original vitality of the moment when the seeds broke through the ground, immediately made the mediocre daily life glow with magical brilliance. Of course, the biggest highlight of these "plant poems" with vegetables and flowers as their themes can be printed on paper and read out line by line, but also spread and grow in the land.

A thin collection of poems, blue and white, spread out and eight plant poems printed on the front of eight envelopes came into view. On the back is the planting method, which contains the corresponding plant seeds. When you shake the envelope, it will make a crisp sound. The whole collection of poems includes four kinds of flower poems: California native flower, Shasta daisy, marigold and Xiangxuebao royal carpet, four kinds of vegetable poems: parsley, pumpkin, carrot and lettuce, and a planting plan written into poems.

Brautigan concentrated the ideas of poetry, art, design, plants and sharing in Please Plant this Collection of Poetry, and printed "This book is free" on the back cover. Reading is no longer a simple aesthetic of words, but also an experience of touching the soil moisture and planting it by hand, which integrates poetry with growth and time.

Richard Brautigan (1935- 1984) is an American writer, who is famous for promoting visual imagination with humor and emotion. His works include ten poems, eleven novels, a collection of short stories and various documentary works. His easy-to-understand and peculiar prose is considered to be the most representative writer during the ebb of the "Beat Generation" and the rise of the anti-cultural movement in San Francisco from the late 1960s to the early 1970s. Brautigan's most famous works include the novel Fishing for Trout in America, a collection of poems, The Contraceptive Pill and the Spring Mountain Mine Disaster, and a collection of stories, Revenge on the Grassland. The astronauts of Apollo 17 found a small crater during their last landing on the moon. They were named after the word "dwarf" in "Trout Fishing in America".

1March, 968, please plant this collection of poems for the first time in the United States, with limited distribution and free distribution. The first edition has only distributed no more than 5000 copies in the United States. In the following decades, it was published in English, French, German, Russian and Persian, which continued to influence a large number of famous writers such as Philip Gyan, Haruki Murakami and W.P. kinsella. This secret garden designed by poems and paper books has become more and more grand with the passage of time.

As the last question mark of the Beats, Brautigan's life and death remain a mystery. He spent his childhood in poverty and loneliness. Later, he decided to become a writer, but his road to fame was bumpy. Brautigan was gradually known by delivering poems in the street and reading new works in the poetry club. He sent his poems to the publishing house, but they were often rejected. It was not until 1967 published "Fishing Trout in America" that Brautigan became a household name in America.

However, the rough life experience did not make him decadent, but he always maintained a strong curiosity and creativity. He wrote in his poetry collection "Marigold": The world is not over, just like this book, it is just the beginning. No wonder philippe djian, an American contemporary writer, once said that Brotigan is the best reason to love life.

After nearly half a century, Brautigan's attempt still touched many readers. Many netizens applauded this idea. Someone lamented, "I have read many novel poems and planted all kinds of complex plants, but like this, poetry and growth are intertwined, imagination can give birth to concrete strength, and the level of life suddenly becomes rich and substantial."
