From "Rhythm Enlightenment". The author is Che Wanyu of the Qing Dynasty. Che Wanyu (1632~1705), courtesy name Shuangting and nickname Hetian, was born in Shaoyang, Hunan. Kangxi Jiachen was a Jinshi, and he was promoted to the military department. In the second year of Kangxi (1663), he and his brother Wan Bei took the Huguang Township Examination. In 1664, they became Jinshi and selected common people. He is upright in nature, his voice shocks the world, he is pure in nature, and he is rich in knowledge.
These two sentences come from the "Two Winters" section of the first volume of "Enlightenment of Rhythm". The original text is:
Two Winters
Spring to summer, autumn to In winter, the evening drums sound against the morning bells. Watch the mountains and play with the water, the green bamboos and the pines. Feng Fuhu, Ye Gonglong, dancing butterflies and singing crickets. There are two purple swallows in the mud on the street, and a few wasps in the classroom. In the spring, the orioles are in the garden, and in the cold autumn, the wild geese are flying outside. The Qinling Mountains are covered with clouds, covering a distance of eight thousand miles; the Wushan Mountains are washed by rain, and there are twelve dangerous peaks in the mountains.
Light versus dark, light versus dense, wisdom versus mean. The mirror and the dowry are opposite to the clothes, and the wild pestle is to the village pound. The flowers are bright, the grass is covered with velvet, and nine summers meet three winters. The famous drama horse of Taigao plays the small trumpet Panlong. He holds crab claws from Bi Zhuo, and wears a crane cloak from Wang Gong. The Wulao Peak is high and looks like a jade pen in the sky; the Sangu Stone is big, and the sound of wind and rain is like a golden yong.
Benevolence is opposite to righteousness, yield is to respect, Yu and Shun are to Xi Nong. Snowflakes are like cloud leaves, peony is like hibiscus. Empress Chen, Emperor Zhongzong of Han Dynasty, embroidered tigers and carved dragons. There is a light breeze in the willow pond and a thick moonlight in the flower garden. It's a good time to see butterflies in the morning in spring, and smell crickets in the autumn night. When a soldier wants merit, he must rely on fighting to achieve bravery; when a common man wants to achieve his ambition, he must rely on poetry and wine to nourish his leisurely mood.
