The whole Tian Wen is Qu Yuan's inquiry about the phenomena of heaven and earth, nature and the world. Poems range from natural phenomena such as the separation of heaven and earth, the change of yin and yang, the show of the sun, the moon and the stars, to myths and legends, and even historical stories such as the rise and fall of sages and fierce wars, which shows Qu Yuan's bold questioning of some traditional concepts and his exploration spirit of pursuing truth.
Nine Songs is a collection of ancient Han poems and songs in China. "Nine Songs" is said to be a musical song of Xia Dynasty, which was later handed down by the people. Folk sang and performed when offering sacrifices to the gods, and Qu Yuan adapted and wrote elegant poems. (Wang Yi's "Chu Sentence" says: "In the past, the southern city of Chu, between Yuan and Xiang, believed that ghosts were good at temples, and their temples must make songs and music to revitalize the gods. Qu Yuan was exiled. Running in its territory, worrying about bitterness and boiling depression. Seeing the sacrificial ceremony of the laity and the joy of singing and dancing, his words were humble. Because I wrote the song "Nine Songs", I expressed my respect for God and saw my own grievances, so I entrusted it with irony. " )
Qu Yuan wrote eleven articles according to the different gods he sacrificed, and one of them, National Mourning, was dedicated to the heroes who died in the war. There are five theories in Ma Chengyu's "Nine Songs", namely, the theory of religious songs and dances, the theory of Qu Yuan's sacrifice, and the theory of keeping palace notes and poems in Quanzhou, Han and Gan.
