In A Dream of Red Mansions, there are two large organized poetry societies. The first club was called Haitang Club. Tanchun suggested that Li Wan be the president, and the club started in autumn. The rally was held in the autumn of Tan Chun's residence, and his poem was Ode to Bai Hai Tang. The second club is called Peach Blossom Club, with Lin Daiyu as its president. A poem "Peach Blossom Trip" that began in spring was named Peach Blossom Club with the word "Chanting catkins".
The five places are different, but the members of the poetry club are relatively fixed: Li Wan, Jia Baoyu, Lin Daiyu, Xue Baochai, Jia Yingchun, Jia Tanchun and Jia Xichun, the first few, followed by Shi Xiangyun, Xing Xiuyan, Xue Baoqin, Xiang Ling, Wen Li and Li Qi.
The first time, Haitang Society: Tanchun initiated, named by Li Wan, entitled "Bai Hai Tang Fu", with seven laws and limited rhyme.

The second time, Chrysanthemum Club: Xiangyun invited Baochai to give a topic (Xiang Yunjia), 12 topics, "Recalling Chrysanthemum" and "Visiting Chrysanthemum", each recognizing one or several topics, and the seven methods are not limited to rhyme.

The third snow appreciation meeting: at the invitation of Li Wan, a topic was given, entitled "Landscape Couplet", arranged in five characters.
Venue: Xue Lu Temple
The fourth time, the Peach Blossom Club: The reason was that Daiyu accidentally wrote a poem "Peach Blossom Garden", which was unanimously agreed by everyone, but failed to be implemented.
Venue: Xiaoxiang Pavilion
The fifth catkin club: At the invitation of Daiyu, Xiangyun and Daiyu made a topic. The topic is that each person writes a catkin word, limited to a few tunes.
