Appreciation

The quatrains of the prosperous Tang Dynasty mostly contain emotions in the scenery, blending the scenes, and have less narrative elements; by the mid-Tang Dynasty, the narrative elements gradually increased, and daily life Love affairs in life often become a common theme of quatrains, and the style has also changed from the vigorous and romantic style of the prosperous Tang Dynasty to realism. Zhang Ji's poem "Autumn Thoughts" is full of emotions and events. It uses an inclusive fragment of daily life - the details of his thoughts and actions when sending letters home, to express very truly and delicately the deep nostalgia of people who visit their hometown for their relatives in their hometown. .

The first sentence is about the poet living in Luoyang, and now autumn has arrived. The poet did not use a large amount of ink to exaggerate the miserable scene of the bleak autumn wind and falling vegetation. Of course, readers will not have the desolate feeling of "autumn wind and autumn rain are saddening" when reading.

The second sentence closely follows "seeing the autumn wind", with the word "thinking" written on the front. In the Jin Dynasty, Zhang Han "saw the autumn wind blowing and thought about wild vegetables, water shield soup and seabass clams in Wuzhong. He said: 'Life is so precious that you have to have the right ambition. How can you lead an official for thousands of miles in order to be famous?' So he ordered to drive back" ( "Book of Jin·Biography of Zhang Han"). Zhang's ancestral home was in Wu County, and he was living in Luoyang at this time. The situation was similar to that of Zhang Han. When he "saw the autumn wind" and became homesick, he might have thought of this story of Zhang Han. However, due to various unspecified reasons, he was unable to imitate Zhang Han's "destined return", so he had to write a letter home to convey his feelings of homesickness. This added to the already deep and intense homesickness the feeling of not being able to return, and the thoughts became more complex and varied. "The desire to be a writer is full of meaning." This word "desire" is quite interesting. What it expresses is exactly the poet's thoughts and moods when he laid down the paper and stretched out his pen: thousands of sorrows surged in his heart, and he felt that he had endless words to say and write, but for a while he didn't know where to start. I don’t know how to express it either. The "thousands of meanings" that originally seemed relatively abstract became vivid, palpable and easy to imagine because of the vivid description of the mood that had been delayed due to "the desire to write a book".

Appreciation 2

"I am afraid that I can't say it all in a hurry, and the traveler opens it again before leaving." This is the poet's psychological activities and actions when writing a letter. The poet did not write in a big way about how he forgot to eat and sleep, and stayed up all night to write a letter home. It was through such an ordinary action that he showed that he was writing a letter home. In the past, transportation was very underdeveloped. Sending a letter home was a long journey. Of course, writing a letter home would take longer. After I finished writing the letter, I found that there were still things I didn’t say, so of course I had to open the letter and add some more. The poet writes poems in this way that are very close to life, but the poems must not only be close to life, but also close to themselves and their innermost feelings, so that they can shock people's hearts. This poem does just that. Mainly reflected in the last two sentences. Although the poet was worried that his letter home would be "unspeakable", he still sealed the envelope until the person who sent the letter was about to leave, but felt that he had not written it well. In fact, it is not that the poet has not finished writing this letter. Now that the envelope has been sealed, it is a complete letter. In fact, it is his own homesickness that is at work. He always feels that something has not been finished, and he always feels that he has not finished writing the letter. The letter home is just like this. In fact, even if you open the envelope, you don’t necessarily need to add anything. This is a reflection of the subtle changes in the soul. The poet clearly expressed it through the action of "opening the seal again". The cause of this vibration and change is the emotion of homesickness. Structurally speaking, this is not a simple plane level, but the movements reflect changes in the subtle feelings of the soul. Compared with the emotions expressed in poems such as "Heartbroken people are at the end of the world" and "A sad autumn is always a guest in thousands of miles", this is a subtle and delicate emotion in the heart. The poet expressed it in the simplest language without excessive exaggeration and embellishment. , is also touching.

The whole poem is coherent and clear as words, expressing the wanderer's mentality simply and truly. In a feudal society where news transmission was inconvenient, people who had been living in foreign places for a long time often had similar experiences. Once the poet refined it, this very ordinary thing and ordinary subject matter had representative significance. Whenever future generations read it, they often feel the same emotion. It is said that people have the same heart and the same emotion.
