Mongolian dance, characterized by stepping on the ground, still maintains the characteristics of tap dance widely popular in ancient Mongolia. The Secret History of Mongolia, written on 1240, records the passionate scene of stepping on the dance during the celebration: "Dancing around the furry tree and stepping out straight ... knee-deep dust." In the poems of the Yuan Dynasty, there are also some poems, such as "If we get together, we will get together, but if we get together, we will get together" and "Go to the singing camp at night", all of which describe this kind of dance.
