Xie Lingyun’s poems

Visiting the South Pavilion

Dynasty: Wei and Jin Author: Xie Lingyun

It was a clear sky in the evening, and the clouds were returning to the west.

The dense forest contains the clear sky, and the distant peaks are half-hidden.

I have been suffering from coma for a long time, and the hotel overlooks the countryside.

Zelan is gradually being eliminated, and hibiscus is late.

I am not tired of the beauty of youth, but I have seen Zhu Ming move.

Everything sighs with emotion, and the white hair of the stars hangs down.

Where the joy and baiting feelings stop, the decline and illness suddenly come here.

The passing general is waiting for the autumn water, resting on the old cliff of the weir.

Who am I interested in? Appreciation is only a matter of conscience.

Translation:

Late spring evening after the rain and the sky clears , the clouds gathered and the sun set in the west.

The air in the dense mountain forest is fresh, and the mountain peaks are half hidden by the red sun.

Feeling tired of the continuous rain, I stayed in the hotel and looked out over the countryside.

Orchid grass gradually covers the path by the waterside, and delicate lotus flowers first bloom on the spring pond.

Not yet satisfied with the wonderful spring, we have already seen summer approaching.

The changing sequence of chapters makes me sigh with sadness, and some white hair hangs down from the temples.

Shengge's eating and drinking habits have stopped, and aging diseases suddenly come.

I will wait for the autumn water to come and leave my shadow on the cliff where I used to live.

Who can understand my will? Only good friends know my thoughts.

Appreciation of You Nan Pavilion

Appreciation:

The first is the spiraling poem Structure, the poem expresses thoughts of deep anger, but the first four sentences outline a clear scene. Then, the two sentences "Jiuhui" and "hotel" retroactively complement the situation of being in a banished officialdom. When Huangmei is in the haze of long rain, the mood is like being indulged in the mist, and has been groggy for a long time. So it can be seen that the poet's desire to get rid of boredom is actually hidden in the clear scenery he sees when he writes about it. The clear scene refreshes the poet's mind, but the underlying anger is so difficult to escape.

Inspired by the clear scenery, the poet walked in the countryside. His original intention must be to further clarify the spirit of nature and bathe his spirit in the snow. However, along the way, he saw the riverside was full of life before the heavy rain. The square orchid grass has grown lush and old; and in the pond, which was just a glimpse of green leaves at the time, the lotus flowers are also beginning to bloom in red and white. This beautiful scenery may be pleasing to others, but for the poet, it is enough to arouse his angry subconscious, giving rise to a sudden feeling of spring and summer, and the movement of "things" triggers the sigh of "people" getting old. So the underlying anger turned into a strong tragedy. Medicine and bait, "medicine" is regarded as "music", but the words of "Leozi" "Music and bait, passers-by stop". The singing, eating and drinking at that time were all false; but the only thing that was real was the one that came suddenly. Just an old illness.

So what should life be like? Only a few close friends can appreciate the real joy of taking advantage of the coming autumn water and retreating to one's hometown. So what is the content of this enjoyable thing? "Qiu Shui" refers to "Qiu Shui" in Zhuangzi. The main theme of "Qiu Shui" is "No one can destroy heaven with man, no one can destroy life for one reason, no one can die for one's name. To guard it and not lose it is to return to its true nature". It turns out that The fundamental way out is to get rid of things and self, the boundaries between right and wrong, forget all gains and losses, even forget your own talents and abilities, and take refuge in nature.

But whether Xie Ke can really forget his feelings depends on the meaning of this poem. This is just a quick talk in the hope that Qiang will break free from his anger. Judging from his behavior, although he went into seclusion several times, he was not like Tao Qian. /p>
