In "The Love of Books in the Snow", it is written that "smiling secretly is heartless and the teeth are cold, and seeing people familiarly makes the eyes sore." Only those who have suffered from rejection and slander can express this kind of sigh. Based on this feeling, he often expressed the sadness and indignation of not being able to appreciate his talent: "Books are worth less than a bag of money, so why should a young man be good at writing? Ten years of covering up the green shirt, eight people crying about hunger and white rice." ("Gift to Xu Changguo") miserable The feeling is beyond words. Faced with Yanjian's fate, Tang Yin often showed a cynical and aloof attitude.

"Wine to the Moon" wrote: "Although I am not as talented as Li Bai, I expected that Yingyue would not think I was ugly. I will not board the emperor's ship, nor will I sleep in Chang'an. Outside Gusu City A hut, thousands of trees and peach blossoms fill the sky." His wild and unruly arrogance is revealed. The fifth of "Eight Poems to Warn the World" warns "Being fair", "Don't make friends without friendship", "But don't do good deeds lightly", which shows the sincerity behind the poet's wildness.

Tang Yin’s works are mostly poems about travels and paintings. The characteristic is that it can be used freely. Self-written chest times have a natural interest.

He is good at composing poems with picturesque scenes. "Song of the Diaosou in the Smoke" first outlines the surrounding environment of Taihu Lake, with mountains, ridges, partridges, smoked bamboos, carps... In this environment, a "Diaosou" appears, with an appearance of "snow-white and desolate" and an expression of " When I was drunk and sleeping in the reed pond, I took off my clothes and used them as pillows. "It's true that there is a painting in the poem." His poems are often filled with whimsical thoughts. He describes his literary thoughts as "The big ladle and the small ladle have never been used. Long and short sentences are always available. Drinking is like a long whale sucking the giant river, swallowing the sky and spitting out the moon, and the turtle roaring." It can be described as crazy and wanton. Fortunately, he incorporated slang and colloquialisms into his poems, but he also managed them to be simple and meaningful.

"The brush of life is also the brush of poetry, tracing the flower boats and willow edges", "the old white on the temples is replaced by new white, and the dark red at the bottom of the tree is replaced by light red", are all good poems full of interest. In most of his travel notes and paintings, Tang Yin used landscapes and paintings to express his sadness and profound sustenance of hopeless fame. Tang Yin's poems have two major shortcomings: first, the poems are often superficial; second, they often promote the ideas of cause and effect and fate.

Tang Yin also has some excellent prose works, such as "Yu Wen Zheng Ming Shu", which talks about the pain of being tired, the difficulty of being released from prison, and the various embarrassments of returning home, which is sour to read. The whole text is full of beautiful words and full of emotion. Use parallelism more frequently to make it more powerful. In addition, he is also good at words, paintings and calligraphy.
