Ancient poems in early Tang dynasty

There are a large number of poems in the Tang Dynasty, and famous works emerge one after another. There are many writers and many people; Poetry is well prepared and diverse; The subject matter is broad and widely circulated, which constitutes the brilliant and prosperous realm of China's poetry.

The early Tang poetry world was still the preparatory stage of Tang poetry. Before it, poetry had a history of nearly two thousand years. The previous generation of poets have made great achievements in genre, theme, style and language, and provided many artistic experiences, especially the rich achievements left over from Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, such as paying attention to the expression of personal feelings, emphasizing the beauty of melody and various means of expression, as well as the weakness of poetry content, delicate feelings and beautiful poetic style since the Southern Dynasties, which also influenced the poetry circle in the early Tang Dynasty. In the early Tang Dynasty, people were looking for a new way to express the new era and new atmosphere with the beautiful melody rhetoric of the Southern Dynasty and the rich emotional temperament of the Northern Dynasty, to express the broad social life and to eliminate the influence of the delicate poetic style. Of course, this development process is slow. Their achievements are mainly manifested in three aspects: first, the expansion of the performance field; Second, the stereotypes of metrical poems; Third, there is a high-spirited and powerful style and delicate poetic artistic conception.

A large number of poets appeared in the early Tang Dynasty: Emperor Taizong and his important officials, Shangguan Yi, Wang Ji, "Four Masters of Early Tang Dynasty", "Four Friends of Articles", "Song Shen", "Chen Ziang" and "Zhang" ... The stars rising in Ran Ran are shining. When Tang Taizong and some of his ministers showed their lives to the world, they had some vigorous, fresh, vigorous and simple poems. However, Li Shimin's personal interest in the style of writing in the Six Dynasties also made him write some magnificent palace poems, which made courtiers respond in groups, thus becoming an atmosphere. When he writes poems, they are all works that should be harmonious. In this context, the most influential representative is the court poet Shangguan Yi.

Most of Shangguan Yi's poems are written according to the requirements of harmony, emphasizing flowery rhetoric, neat antithesis and gentle and charming style, but his theory of "six pairs" and "eight pairs" has played a certain role in promoting the formation of regular poems.

What is worth mentioning is the poet Wang Ji, who compares himself with Ruan Ji and Tao Qian. Most of his poems are reflections of secluded pastoral life, creating a simple, fresh, quiet and indifferent realm. Yang Jiong, Lu and Luo, the "four outstanding figures in the early Tang Dynasty", broke through the narrow scope of court poetry and opened up the horizons of parting, homesickness, frontier fortress, street view, mountains and rivers, ideals and ambitions. This became the content of their singing. In their poems, positive and enterprising spirit and depressed feelings began to appear, and a high-spirited and powerful emotional tone appeared. Although the "four outstanding poets in the early Tang Dynasty" did not completely break away from the glory of the Six Dynasties, their works acted as pioneers of poetry reform and showed the healthy direction of poetry development. Du, Shen Quanqi, Song and other contemporary and later writers, who are called "Shen Song", are one of the "four friends of writing", and are praised by later generations for their contribution to the finalization of regular poems.

As for the discussion on the rhythm of poetry, the new style poetry of the following year only solved the relationship between one sentence and one line, and was in the initial state in the form of meter. There are still many problems to be solved, and there are too many taboos about the theory of "eight pairs". Shangguan Yi's theory of "six pairs" and "eight pairs" some time ago only talked about duality. When they arrived in Shen Quanqi and Song Dynasty, they said, "About one sentence is accurate, like a wonderful article"! So that in a word, the levels are staggered; In a couplet, hierarchy and level are relative; Between the two couplets, the parallel lines stick together, and this adhesion law runs through the whole article, which makes the metrical poem finally finalized and creates more favorable conditions for the development of Tang poetry.

Chen Ziang, a poet in the early Tang Dynasty, criticized the colorful and vigorous poetic style of Qi Liang's poems in the past 500 years from Han Wei to the early Tang Dynasty, praised the excellent poetic tradition of appealing to both refined and popular tastes, and put forward the idea of "fragrant spine, frustrated tone and heroic light"

With his own poetic theory and a lot of poetic creation, he built a monument in the early Tang Dynasty, while Zhang, a contemporary poet, stayed in the literary history for thousands of years with a poem "Moonlit Night on a Spring River". Moonlit Night on a Spring River combines poetic sentiment, artistic conception and philosophy, creating a delicate poetic scene, showing a bright and beautiful style, marking the great progress of poetic artistic conception and having a great influence on the exquisite beauty of poetic images in the prosperous Tang Dynasty.
