Dark clouds hung over the grove,
The fog gave off bursts of fragrance.
Take a bus out of the station along the muddy road,
I am far away from my beloved glade.
The forest is frozen, without pain and noise,
The shadow of the pine tree drags like a headscarf.
The thought of crying will bite my heart. ...
Ah, my hometown, you are not feeling well.
Miss spruce is very depressed.
My coachman sang sadly:
"I will die in a prison bed,
And then was hastily buried. "

Ye Saining (Soviet Union)
Ye Saining, a self-proclaimed peasant poet, is the "only singer and mouthpiece" of "Country Rose". Unfortunately, when his simple poems brought fresh spring breeze to a city with serious air pollution, the poet was ridiculed and ridiculed by urban civilization. Behind the flowers and applause, farmer Ye Saining felt out of place in the city. As a "stranger", the poet, like a great white shark in the ocean, strayed into a narrow river berth, and he always needed to be on guard against the danger of being stranded on an unfree river bed.
In Ye Saining's view, the development of capitalist industrial civilization not only swallowed up a large area of rural land and beautiful natural scenery, but also swallowed up the romantic temperament and poetic beauty of human beings. So his "invasion" of urban culture is almost instinctive hostility. Subsequently, as a way of confrontation, the theme of "returning home" appeared frequently in Ye Saining's poems.
"Returning home" not only means that the poet should find a shelter for his body, but more importantly, he should seek a kind of peace and harmony in his soul and find his lost spiritual home. Therefore, the poet put his ideal in a utopia called "clearing in the forest". The "glade" here is equivalent to the "forest center" in the minds of German neo-romantic poets. Its appearance is not accidental, but the inheritance of several generations of Russian writers' yearning for the most beautiful and perfect Eden. Tolstoy, a great writer who has some kind of spiritual umbilical cord connection with Ye Saining, once searched for a magic wand to benefit mankind in a "bright glade".
However, under the impact of industrial civilization, the real hometown has become dangerous. The disturbing scene in my hometown doomed Ye Saining's soul's trip to the glade to fail. All this faced by the poet is expressed in the form of irony, and the rigidity of the forest renders the atmosphere of death. However, it is through this death that we get the information about life, and poetry gains a lively and life-threatening texture in the static forest background. The phrase "no pain, no trouble" expresses deep pain and anxiety with a seemingly calm attitude, just like a swift vortex hidden under a calm river.
In the dilemma between the countryside and the city, the poet felt at a loss. The "coachman" appeared at the end of the poem, which broke through the reference function of ordinary symbols and became a double symbol of fate and lyric hero. The poet guessed sadly, who knows what kind of fate awaits me in front? !
