I remember that the silk making workshop at that time was very messy and dark. The main production equipment of the silk making workshop is: a large steamer, a leaf thresher, and two shredding machines. There are three cigarette and packaging workshops, namely: light cigarette (unfiltered cigarette) workshop; 81 workshop (named because the total length of cigarettes produced is 81mm); MK-8 workshop (named because it has imported equipment MK-8 name). There is also a workshop for producing nozzle rods, with an imported PM5 molding machine. This was the composition of the entire production equipment of the Siping Cigarette Factory at that time.
At that time, there were two things that impressed me the most; one was the packaging truck commander putting cigarettes on the equipment. With a shake of their hands, they can accurately throw hundreds of cigarettes into the device without any falling. In 1988, I visited a cigarette manufacturing factory in the UK. I saw that there were only a few people in their workshop, and the entire production process was completely automated. Even the mouthpieces were transported to the cigarette making machine by wind. At that time, I was really envious.
