This play is based on the original narrative poem, respects the literary language style of the original poem, and is loyal to wang gui and li xiangxiang's character in the original poem. On the basis of not changing the "red" tone of the work, it adds the drama elements of "survival" and "love" with permanent charm, and regards the ancient drama of Shaanxi Opera as. At the same time, the drama is based on traditional Chinese opera and Shaanxi opera, and draws lessons from modern singing teams and piano accompaniment, and makes bold artistic exploration. The theme in the play is "Let's make a revolution, and the revolution is also for us", which explores the issues of "for whom" and "how to do it" of revolution, which has historical and practical significance.
There is a huge lineup of more than 15 people in the whole drama, among whom 6 people participate in the performance in the form of choir on both sides of the stage, sometimes singing with voices and sometimes talking with actors. At the same time, the dance team tells about the environment and the atmosphere, and expresses people's feelings with folk songs such as Xintianyou and Huaer, which are unique in the west, and explores the combination of national and world elements through the stage interpretation of the combination of Chinese and Western.
