"The Eastern Mansion is also good at dragons and obedient to Emperor Shun" ("Twenty-nine Years of Zuo Zhuan Zhao Gong"). But dragons are sacred, and they don't rest without drinking fresh water or spiritual water. Dongfu searched the whole world for sweet springs. Later, between the Phoenix Wall and Mount Emei, he heard about happiness, and he found a 40-mile-long great oasis. The water quality is very good, like a lake, clear and bright. It is actually a sacred place for dragons. He was so happy that he settled down. This place is the Shili Baishui Beach across Dongzhen and Liyuan Town in the northeast of Wenxi. Due to the meritorious service of Dongfu in treating dragons, Shunbian "named Baishuitan as Dongfu country". The Baishui Beach here is also called Dong Ze Lake, which is the place where Dong's father is called Dragon in legend.
