Tang dynasty: Han Yu
In the evening, a faint mist cleared away and the sky shone brightly.
The riverside of Qujiang is covered with thousands of trees. What's the matter with you so busy? Why don't you come?

Creation background
This poem is a gift for a friend. In the evening after a long rain, the lights turned fine, and Qujiang Rose Garden was full of green trees and flowers. Enthusiastic Han Yu invited Zhang Jihe Bai Juyi to visit Qujiang. Unfortunately, Bai Juyi didn't go because of the mud after the rain. After the tour, Han Yu wrote this poem and gave it to Bai Juyi.

This poem begins with a description of the climate change at that time. The first three sentences describe the beautiful scenery on both sides of Qujiang River after the rain. There is still a faint mist in the evening sky, but it soon dissipates, showing a blue sky, and the beautiful spring is more touching. On Qujiang River, red flowers and green trees are reflected in the river, setting off the beauty of spring. The poet painted a fresh picture in elegant language, with a cheerful and natural rhythm.
From an aesthetic point of view, the moon in the water and the flowers in the mirror often give people a particularly beautiful enjoyment. Probably the image reflected in water and mirror is always between similarity and dissimilarity, giving people a clear and vague aesthetic feeling, which is often more touching than the entity. The beauty of this poem's scenery comes from water: the long rain is crystal clear, the blue sky, the bright sunshine, the terraced fields of thousands of families and the colorful flower trees are all reflected in "Qujiang Water is Full". The reflections of flower trees and balconies are mottled in the water. As a result, flowers grow from green roofs and fish pass through green trees. Occasionally, the breeze wrinkles a pool of spring water, and the flowers and trees on this balcony are crumbling. This is more fascinating than the real scene on the shore.
The structure of this poem is also very innovative. Breaking the rule of turning around in three quatrains, I wrote three sentences in a row, and the fourth sentence suddenly ended with a question. This structural feature is also worth pondering.
This poem is addressed to Bai Juyi. In addition to expressing your feelings, it also means regret and blame for the other party's broken words. The poet did not express his sufferings, disappointments and complaints directly, but skillfully wrote the unique beauty of Qujiang's fresh air and clear scenery after the rain. In the spring of Qujiang, the more attractive the flowers and trees on Qujiang balcony are, the more regrettable it is to disappoint this beautiful scenery. Although the last sentence is only a light question, although the tone is euphemistic, it fully expresses the poet's mood. The ingenious ideas of the poet can also be seen here.
