When Yan Yanzhi wrote this poem, there was no name for the administrative division of Yueyang, and it generally referred to the area south of Tianyue Mountain. 105 years later, in the second year of Emperor Wu of the Liang Dynasty (528), Yueyang County and Yueyang County were established in Changlan Village, Changle Town, Miluo City. In the north, the word "Yueyang" appeared earlier. "Shang Shu·Yu Gong" states that "after building Taiyuan, we will go to Yueyang". Note: "From Taiyuan to the south of Yueshan, it is Yueyang." Anze County was established here during the Northern Wei Dynasty. In the first year of Emperor Huoyi's Daye in the Sui Dynasty (605), the name was changed to Yueyang County, which was used until January 1914, when the original name was restored. Winning the name Yueyang is undoubtedly a victory for the profound Yueyang Tower culture. In the Qing Dynasty, Wang Xiemeng, the magistrate of Yueyang County, Shanxi Province, built a Yueyang Tower on the basis of the Drum Tower at the city gate. Although his words are reasonable and well-founded, without the big environment of the Yangtze River, Dongting Lake, and Junshan, and without the great efforts of Du Fu, Meng Haoran, and Fan Zhongyan, how can he win! Due to the huge influence of the Yueyang Tower culture, the loud and artistic name of Yueyang was eventually changed to "Yueyang", which is located in the northwest of Tianyue Mountain. Due to the influence of Yan Yanzhi's poetry and the fact that Yueyang County was once established in the jurisdiction, "Yueyang" developed from the common place name. It eventually became the official regional zoning name.
Anze County was unwilling to "lose Jingzhou". In order to commemorate its former name of Yueyang County, in 1971, when Shanxi Province divided parts of Anze and Fushan counties into new ancient counties, it still regarded them as ancient counties. The former Yueyang County seat where the Gu County People's Government was based was named "Yueyang" town in commemoration.
