Who would have thought that this should be the closest father and daughter in the world, meeting for the first time, one sleeping in the ground and the other crying in front of the tombstone.
And the photo on this tombstone, impressively is the revolutionary martyr Chen Qiaonian.
As a daughter, why is it so late when I am close at hand? Why have I never seen my father before he died?
All this is the regret of many people, and the beginning of this regret has to start with the birth of Chen Qiaonian.
Chen Qiaonian was born in Huaining, Anhui Province on September 2, 1902. He grew up in a bureaucratic family. Although he received a feudal education, he was deeply impressed by the darkness of society, and he was strongly dissatisfied with the feudal system.
My father is a famous revolutionary, Chen Duxiu. Patriots constantly inspire and encourage him in their repeated struggles against the dark society.
Therefore, under the influence of his father's revolutionary thought and the promotion of his eldest brother Chen Yannian, he gradually set up his ambition to save the country and the people and resolutely embarked on the revolutionary road.
19 13 years, Chen Qiaonian and Chen Yannian were implicated by their father Chen Duxiu's anti-Yuan revolutionary activities, persecuted by the Beiyang warlord government, and had to take refuge in Huaining countryside.
Unable to continue studying in Anqing, Yannian and Qiao Nian bid farewell to their relatives at home, left their hometown to study in Shanghai, and never returned to Huaining's hometown.
1912 Under the influence of the May 4th patriotic movement, Qiao Nian and Yan Nian went to France to work and study together in order to seek the truth of saving the country and the people.
/kloc-in the winter of 0/922, with the approval of the central authorities, Chen Yannian and Chen Qiaonian joined the producers' party of China.
In March of the following year, according to the decision of the Party organization, Chen Qiaonian and others left France for the Soviet Union to study at Moscow Oriental Workers' Production University.
/kloc-in the winter of 0/924, following the instructions of the Central Committee, Chen Qiaonian left Moscow for home.
After returning home, Chen Qiaonian was sent to Beijing by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to work as the organization minister of Beijing local executive committee.
During this period, when I saw all kinds of perversions of imperialism and northern warlords, I couldn't help but get angry and strengthened my determination to fight.
After the establishment of the latest revolutionary United front based on national unity, the vigorous development of the revolutionary situation was his belief in winning the revolution, and then under the leadership of Li Dazhao, he enthusiastically devoted himself to the fiery struggle.
It was also at this time that Chen Qiaonian met a revolutionary young woman, Shi Jingyi.
Shi Jingyi is from Wuchang, Hubei. She fell in love with Chen Qiaonian and soon got married.
Although the revolutionary cause was hard, Qi Xin and his wife never gave up. Soon after they got married, they gave birth to their eldest son, Chen.
However, Chen Qiaonian was arrested and put in prison before the child was loved by his parents.
1928 February 16, Jiangsu provincial party Committee held a meeting of ministers of all district committees in secret at Chengdu North Road Embroidery Girls' School in British Concession, and Chen Qiaonian was in charge of the meeting.
Because of the traitor Tang's informer, the enemy suddenly attacked and surrounded the meeting place, and the responsible comrades of the jiangsu provincial party committee authorities were arrested.
Chen Qiaonian clearly knows that it is impossible to survive in the jaws of death. From the day when he first chose to die for the revolution, he had turned his back on life and death.
However, his wife Shi Jingyi is very worried. She is busy with how to rescue Chen Qiaonian every day, so she neglects to take care of her young children. Their first child died unfortunately.
However, Chen Qiaonian is also in dire straits, and Party organizations are doing everything possible to rescue comrades who have been arrested and imprisoned.
Because Chen Qiaonian didn't reveal his true identity, the party organization planned to redeem him with money and replace him with Zhou Chu, whom the traitors didn't know.
At the beginning of the week, he was also very helpful and immediately promised to save Chen Qiaonian's life with his own sacrifice.
Everything is going well, but Zhou Zhichu's father is trying to rescue his son. Knowing this, he revealed Chen Qiaonian's true identity out of love to protect his son.
The enemy tortured Chen Qiaonian to get a valid secret, and Chen Qiaonian never let it go.
Even on the eve of his unswerving sacrifice, he remained calm and said, "Let our future generations enjoy the happiness of our predecessors!" "
At this time, he was tortured and didn't know that his eldest son had passed away, and his wife still had a posthumous child in her stomach.
1928 On June 6th, Chen Qiaonian was killed near the LAM Raymond Bridge at the age of 26.
Even after death, the body is not allowed to be collected, and the body is discarded in the river at will.
A family of four, which should be happy, fell into the dust overnight.
When Shi Jingyi could not get over the pain of losing her son, the news of Chen Qiaonian's sacrifice came and completely destroyed her.
Hong, her widow, is still in her mother's belly.
When she was born, Shi Jingyi had been destroyed by ruthless fate.
At the time of Chen Qiaonian's sacrifice, it was the peak of Shanghai's white terror, and a large number of party member and revolutionary masses were killed by national reactionaries in various places.
Losing her spiritual support, she was unable to raise her daughter Chen Hong under the persecution of the enemy. In order to better protect the child, she sent her infant daughter to Shanghai Freemasonry.
"Freemasonry" is a mass social relief group led by our party, formerly known as "China Relief Association", which mainly undertakes the tasks of helping the descendants of revolutionary martyrs, the oppressed masses and revolutionary fighters, and stopping the relief movement for the poor.
Shi Jingyi wants to stay out of the limelight these days and wait until the situation is a little more stable before taking the child back.
So after settling down in Chen Hong, I went abroad to study at Sun Yat-sen University.
There happened to be a couple named Miao who were doing housework in Shanghai. Not long ago, their eldest daughter Miao Fang died unfortunately for the revolution. Under the careful consideration of the organization, there is no doubt that the children will be raised by them.
So the comrades in the organization gave the couple two oceans and told them to take their children back to their hometown to take shelter from the wind, and then send them back to the Chen family after the victory of the revolution.
Chen Hong was named Miao Yu by the couple.
Due to the turmoil of the times, it was difficult for civilians in that period to settle down. Unfortunately, Miao's father was seriously ill at this time.
The poor family was soon dragged down. Unable to support Chen Hong, the young girl was handed over to another family.
As the party organization in Shanghai was persecuted by reactionaries, many leading comrades who handled this matter were either arrested or sacrificed. Plus Chen Hong was changed hands many times, and the organization gradually lost the news of Chen Hong.
After that, he moved to the Soviet Union, married an officer named Xu, and gave birth to a son named after him.
She never imagined that her young daughter was displaced and in great pain.
Chen Hong got measles when he was three years old, and he was dying several times. She managed to survive. At the age of nine, she was sent to the landlord's house to do short-term work and was abused.
She is not fully developed. She has to carry firewood heavier than herself and spend twice as much time washing clothes for her employer.
In fact, it was not the adoptive parents who abused her. Under the background of turbulent situation, this is the most common living condition of civilian children.
Sadly, as a child of a martyr, she was forced to be separated from her family, and even now she doesn't know her life experience.
In this way, she lived as hard as Miao Yu. Because adoptive parents have taken refuge all the year round, Miao Yu lives with her grandmother in her hometown.
Grandma is old and has no labor, so the source of labor for this family of two is all Xiao Miaoyu.
However, Xiao Miaoyu can't support this family at all. Not only did she not have enough food to eat, but even after she couldn't pay the rent, the landlord found fault with no conscience and even robbed her adoptive parents' house.
Xiao Miaoyu lives with her cows and sometimes even goes begging in the street.
It was not until she 13 years old that her grandmother told her about her life. Miao Yu knew that she was adopted, but her adoptive parents didn't know her biological parents.
So Miao Yu had the idea of finding relatives, but she didn't know where to find them. The previous family has lost news because of the war, and she doesn't know where she came from.
There was nothing she could do, but the idea of finding relatives was deeply buried in her heart and took root.
At this point, Shi Jingyi has come back from the Soviet Union, and immediately plans to take his daughter to his side.
But at this point, the daughter's whereabouts have dissipated over time. At that time, displacement has become the norm of the people, not to mention her daughter who deliberately concealed her life experience.
Shi Jingyi searched anxiously for many years, but it was difficult to find the whereabouts of this daughter.
Both sides are looking for each other, but no one can find each other.
1944, when Miao Yu 16 years old, a new fourth army unit came to Miao Yu's village to recruit.
Miao Yu, who is young but mature and sensible, happened to be noticed by a cadre and deliberately asked her if she would like to join the New Fourth Army.
Miao Yu grew up in the countryside, only knowing that this army was here to help the people and drive away the bad guys, so she immediately agreed to join the New Fourth Army.
The orphans of revolutionary martyrs turned to the revolution.
Miao Yu was assigned to the laundry class because she was young and a girl. Although she is a logistics person, she still works hard.
Washing clothes for soldiers, changing them into clean clothes and fighting the most beautiful battles are also contributions.
So she was soon promoted to the monitor of the laundry class, and she still looked proud when Chen Hong was interviewed and mentioned it.
A few years later, Miao Yu was transferred to Hua Ye Tenth Corps as a warehouse manager, and went south with the troops to participate in the liberation of Fujian.
From then on, she became attached to Fujian and settled in Fuzhou.
After the liberation of Fujian, Miao Yu was transferred to the government and worked in Fuzhou Public Security Bureau and Light Industry Bureau successively. Later, she fell in love and got married, and she was pregnant with five sons and a daughter.
She already has her own family, and she is still longing for the family she has never met.
After the national liberation, Miao Yu began to look for the whereabouts of the Miao family, because the Miao family was the first family in her memory, and they must know something.
1973, with the unremitting efforts of Miao language, she finally found the Miao family, and successfully learned the identity of her martyr's children among the Miao population and was adopted in Shanghai.
Apart from these two messages, there is nothing else. After all, in order to conceal Chen Hong's identity, Miao people don't know which martyr's daughter she is.
But for Miao Yu, these two pieces of information are also precious.
However, the revolutionary freemasonry has long since been dissolved and the comrades concerned have disappeared. Although Miao Yu knows her general origin, she can't find her relatives at the moment.
On the other hand, Shi Jingyi has never given up the idea of finding a daughter for many years.
As far as she is concerned, the early death of her and Chen Qiaonian's eldest son is a great pity. The little girl's whereabouts became a knot in her heart. If we can't find a daughter, she will die and face her ex-husband.
It is also a fault caused by years of depression. Shi Jingyi is very ill and getting worse. Even in the last stage of her life, Shi Jingyi did not forget to ask others for help in finding her daughter.
Lying in a hospital bed, Shi Jingyi actually doesn't have much strength. When she was so weak, she exhausted all her strength and clung to the hand of her brother-in-law, Yang Xianru. She told her word for word that she must help her find the whereabouts of her little daughter.
1969, Shi Jingyi passed away with regret.
After Shi Jingyi's death, my brother-in-law and her family began to spare no effort to find the whereabouts of this child in line with Shi Jingyi's only last wish.
It would be a pity for Shi Jingyi if it could be found so easily.
In desperation, Yang Xianru announced the matter in the newspaper.
Among Qiao Nian's martyrs, there is a daughter, Chen Hong. There are plenty of fish in the sea.
As soon as this report was released, it quickly caused heated discussion in society. Chen Duxiu's granddaughter and Chen Qiaonian's only daughter should not be underestimated.
More importantly, Chen Qiaonian's sacrifice is an awesome story for future generations.
Miao Yu naturally saw this report in the newspaper.
The news of the martyrs' children and the relief society alone coincides with it. Miao Yu's search for relatives for many years started for the first time at this time.
In Miao's mind, like a son stirring up a thousand waves, Miao Huaiyu wrote a letter and excitedly sent it to the address published in the newspaper.
At this point, Yang Xianru collapsed and was ill in bed. After the letter arrived home, Yang Xianru looked at this photo of the old man and decided that it was the child of his sister and brother-in-law.
Because Miao Yu and Chen Qiaonian look so alike, even though Chen Qiaonian died young, Miao Yu is now a white-haired old man, but two people with the same blood still have similar looks.
Like Shi Jingyi, Yang Xian knew the whereabouts of the pregnant woman, but she didn't see it with her own eyes, so she gave up and left.
Later, Shi Jingyi and her later husband's son, Wen Li, took on the regrets of the previous generation.
To be on the safe side, before the visit, he contacted the relevant departments of Anhui and Fujian provincial governments, as well as the New Fourth Army Research Association and Chen Duxiu Research Association, and invited them to investigate the matter together to determine Miao Yu's identity.
Miao Yu, who is far away in Fujian, can't wait for a reply for a long time. After many disappointments, she didn't take it seriously, just felt that she had done something wrong. After all, how could she be Chen Qiaonian's daughter?
In terms of literature, after a long visit and investigation by relevant departments, it has been confirmed that Miao Yu is the daughter of a martyr in Chen Qiaonian.
Wen Li and his wife came to Fuzhou.
Wen Li knocked at the door according to the address. Until the moment he opened the door, his heart seemed to jump out of his chest.
After all, this is his half-sister, and he has never seen her.
The door was opened from the inside, revealing the gray-haired old lady behind the door. She squinted at the stranger in front of her and asked her why.
Wen Li suppressed his excitement and said in a trembling voice, "I am the son of your brother, Ms. Shi Jingyi."
Miao Yu, who has been looking for relatives for 66 years, met her relatives for the first time. This is something she has been thinking about for 66 years. She thought several times that she would never find her former relatives again in this life.
After a long period of shock, Miao Yu finally accepted the fact that she had found her relatives.
And the descendants of the Chen family, in addition to the daughter Chen Hong, only Chen Duxiu's third son's daughter Chen Changpu.
When Chen Changpu learned about this, he was busy organizing relatives to take Chen Hong home.
Accompanied by these relatives who met for the first time, Miao Yu went to Longhua Martyrs Cemetery in Shanghai disguised as Chen Hong and stood in front of her father's tombstone.
I haven't seen him for years, and I haven't seen him. The father in the photo is still young and the daughter's hair is gray.
As Chen Qiaonian wished, his descendants have enjoyed the happiness and prosperity they gained through hard work, and the motherland is prosperous, just as all martyrs wished.
