Jinfo Mountain is located in Nanchuan District, Chongqing, north of Dalou Mountain, with an area of10.3 million square kilometers and a scenic area of 44 1 square kilometers. Fenghuangling, the main peak, is the highest peak of Jinfo Mountain, with an altitude of 2238 meters. The forest coverage rate is over 95%, and the content of negative oxygen ions is about100000 per cubic centimeter.
There are 2997 species of plants in 237 families in the 250,000 mu virgin evergreen forest in Jinfo Mountain. The scenic spot is known as "the Alps in the East". Jinfo Mountain is a typical karst landform, with dozens of high mountain canyons and 100 dangerous peaks. Natural caves are scattered all over the place, and ancient Buddha caves are the most famous.
The development of history
According to the Song Dynasty poem "Looking at Jinfo Mountain Ballad", which was the earliest description of Nanchuan, a man in Jinfo Mountain said: "Looking at Jinfo Mountain in the morning, looking at Jinfo Mountain at dusk, Jinfo Cui Wei, misty." Whenever the sun is shining in summer and autumn, the mountains are resplendent in the setting sun, like a golden Buddha, which radiates thousands of rays of sunshine, so it is named because of its spectacular and beautiful appearance.
In September 2006, the overall development of Jinfo Mountain Scenic Area began, with a total of 12 scenic spots, including Tianxing Resort, Bitan Valley Scenic Area, Qianniuping Scenic Area, Gaoxuezi Scenic Area and Yaochiba Scenic Area.
On May 1 day, 2009, the Bitan Valley Scenic Area in the West Gate of Jinfo Mountain was officially opened to the public to receive tourists. On July 2 1 of the same year, the Golden Foshan Cableway was officially put into operation, and since then, the west, south and north tourist links of Golden Foshan have been fully connected.
On April 8, 20 14, Jinfo Mountain in Nanchuan District was officially opened to tourists.
