The Qiang people are an ancient ethnic group in western China. They call themselves "Rimai" and "Erma". It is called "the nation on the clouds".
Xianbei:
The Xianbei are an ancient nomadic people who emerged on the Mongolian Plateau after the Xiongnu. They belong to the Mongolian-speaking group of the Altaic language family and emerged in the Greater Khingan Mountains. They were the nomadic people who had the greatest influence on China during the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties. They originated from the Donghu people and were distributed in northern China. During the Qin and Han Dynasties, Donghu was defeated by the Xiongnu Maodun Shanyu and divided into two groups. They surrendered to Wuhuan Mountain and Xianbei Mountain respectively, and both took the name of the mountain as their clan name, forming the Wuhuan and Xianbei clans, who were enslaved by the Xiongnu. Therefore, the customs and habits of the Xianbei people are similar to those of Wuhuan and Xiongnu.
