The double-winged horse sculpture in Baotou City was designed in 1986 by the Baotou Architectural Design Institute (formerly the Baotou Architectural Survey and Design Institute). The total height of this sculpture is 26.6 meters and is divided into upper and lower parts. It means that steel and rare earths are the source of life for Baotou Steel. It also symbolizes that Baotou Steel has opened a new chapter in the industrial modernization of the prairie and ended the history of Inner Mongolia being "unarmed".
