The Spring Festival is the happiest festival of Hezhe nationality in a year. On New Year's Eve, everyone is very busy, cooking New Year's Eve, cutting window grilles and putting up lanterns. On the first day, girls, women and children put on new clothes embroidered with clouds and went to visit relatives and friends. The hospitable Hezhe people gave a banquet to entertain the guests.
There are hot and sour "stomping" (raw fish), crisp "fried fish hair" and transparent bright red salmon seeds, which are very delicious. A respected folk poet (Imakan) presented his best wishes for the Spring Festival with poems.
The old people toasted him, listened to his stories and had a good time. Women play "touch the paste" and throw bones. Teenagers are obsessed with skiing, skating, shooting grass targets, crossing grass and other competitions. There are songs and laughter everywhere.
