Trevor Rabin was born in South Africa on January 13th, 1954. When he took piano lessons at the age of 12, he began to play guitar. In 1972, he formed the Rabbit Band, which became one of the most famous bands in South Africa at that time. Then Rabin left Rabbit and went to London to pursue his independent career, and published three solo records at that time.
Rabin moved to Los Angeles in 1982, where he became a member of a progressive band YES, which pursued reform, and worked as a guitarist, keyboard player, singer, composer, producer and recording engineer in the band's album 9125. Most of the songs were written on this album and later on "Big Generator" and "Talk". He left Yes in 1994 to start his film music career.
Rabin has created works such as con air, Ace Hunt, Armageddon, Public Enemy, White Murder, Deep Sea Shark, Speed 6 Seconds, Charge, Sixth Day, Rock Sisters, Kangaroo for Money, and Jedi.
Not only was he nominated for Grammy many times and won an award in the end, but he also won nine BMI film score awards and a lifetime achievement award at temecula Film Festival.
